What is Hydro Excavation?
Hydro Excavation is a basic process that utilizes pressurized water and a vacuum source to remove natural soil materials at a controlled rate. Other names for this type of excavation are commonly known as “vacuum excavation”, “potholing”, “hydro digging”, “hydro trenching”, or “soft digging”. Hydro Excavation allows for a more precise excavation which requires less backfill material, reduces labor force, minimizes site restoration, and has less environmental impact compared to other digging methods.
